UPDATE: Clever British Geeks Release Paper Planes in Space, and They Land in Turlock, Allegedly

It’s been a while since I first posted in EPB about this website, Project Space Planes, and their delightfully Anglocomic Youtube video below which shows a group of British engineers launching paper airplanes into space on behalf of the Samsung Corp. to see where the planes, and their sturdy microchip cargo, would land.

Most of the planes landed in Germany, and I believe that those are probably credible people finding the actual paper planes and the attached Samsung microchips. Other folded craft have supposedly landed in Turlock, Ca, Sydney, Australia, Bangalore, India, Winnipeg, Canada and somewhere in South Africa. I’m leery of the veracity of some of those. I don’t think a paper airplane made it from Germany to California and Winnipeg. I think there might be wishful internet hoaxsters in Turlock and Winnipeg.
