Before You Throw Him to the Lions, Take a Look at Who Feeds the Lions, by Dylan Van Keef

“This looks like a trap” – Captain Obvious

Let’s talk PURE STRATEGY. Let’s concede Al Franken is guilty as charged, because he admitted it, apologized, and called for an Ethics probe into himself, where we will be shocked to find out that Al is an otherwise stand up guy and a big supporter of Woman’s rights.

Check out the end of his book and if you don’t tear up as he pleads for our country to stand behind Minnesota Somalian refugee and Senate page Muna Abdullahi, your heart is colder than mine. Because I cried at work listening to the close of the audiobook, working across from 1st generation American woman from Laos. I wiped away my tears before anybody noticed.

Go watch When A Man Loves A Woman with Andy Garcia and think about how he wrote that movie about how much he loves his wife Fran as he stood with her in her battle with alcohol, but was powerless to help his best friend and comedy partner Tom Davis.

His character Stuart Smalley, the life counselor, was his comedic reaction to Al coping with the people he loved falling apart around him, as he searched for answers on how to save them.

Franken f_cked up in 2006 on a Patriotic USO Tour. That photo is GOLD for the Republican Party, as Franken surgically dismantles men he believes are traitors, like Jeff Sessions and certain people behind Facebook.

I am not excusing what he did. Neither is he. That’s why there is going to be an ethics probe. That’s all out there.

But let’s do the calculations: That was clearly an orchestrated move by Trump goon Roger Stone. Again he is guilty as charged, but it doesn’t tell the story of why that old photo was dropping at the same moment Leann Tweeden made her case against Franken. Again that’s her truth. Not disputing it.

Then there’s the second accuser who was just some human that happened to be a woman that Al Franken wanted to argue more with after debating on Politically Incorrect, as he was becoming the Air America Radio guy in that phase of his life.

Maybe I’m a fool and twenty women will come forward with stories about Al Franken, the SNL sex monster.

But my calculation is that Roger Stone and company feared that Al Franken could parlay his success in the Senate taking on these bad guys like Jeff Sessions, and become a serious contender for the President of the United States.

They had that photo and story ready, just like the Democratic machine had the Billy Bush Access Hollywood tape.

But the Access Hollywood tape was an October Surprise. Al’s photo was an October Surprise that was used preemptively because the Donald Trump administration is desperate. The walls are closing in and Roger Stone is one of the grand fixers ensnared in Mueller’s incredible rat trap.

The gambit is getting Al Franken to resign and sneak Roy Moore in, which is a gamble considering how that photo would have been much more valuable in bringing down Franken in a late election cycle scenario.

As all humans are prone to mistakes, maybe there are two sorts of people in this world, friends that deserve forgiveness and enemies you should not. Even if you’re a Republican he is a friend of the United States. If you are a Republican, Roy Moore is your enemy.

Let Al have it. He deserves the criticism. Censure him. Make an example of him. But for the Women of the United States, don’t trade him in for Roy Moore, because the Republicans are just so much trickier than we are.

We don’t want to be Tricky. We just have to be strong and hold each other to better and higher standards.

We as men in America need to give more support to women of every nation in order to make equality a reality, not just another dream we punt towards our increasingly uncertain future. We need all the help and talent we can get to save this world and make our country a land of freedom again. If you ain’t equal, you ain’t FREE.

Watch out for the Tax Plan.

Lunch is over, back to work.
