Mint: Easy to Grow, Endless Culinary Possibilities, by Jill Kuhel

Tuesday eating from your yard tip~Mint comes in many varieties all with different tastes to compliment our food and aid in digestion. My walking partner, Maria Baher-Olomi, serves baked slices egg plant with a yogurt and spearmint sauce~pure heaven! Mint is also an important ingredient in the cucumber yogurt sauce served with gyros and falafel. I like mint, ginger and mango in my salsa. There is the traditional mint jelly served with ham or lamb. I have also had ground pork served cold with chopped mint. Mint is a nice addition to couscous, lentils, bean dishes or fruit salad. Chocolate mint makes a particularly yummy infused water. We can’t forget mint juleps or mint chutney for our samosas. How do you eat mint?
