Chicago’s newest handicapper, Ron Swanson, will provide his weekly NFL picks here every Thursday morning. Watch and learn, Sports Fanskys…

NY GIANTS 3 Tennessee

No need to play 6 DBs against the Titans. Tough QB situation in Tennessee, the Giants should cover.

NEW ENGLAND 14 Buffalo

Hard to go wrong betting against Buffalo. New England should bounce back strong.

BALTIMORE 10 1/2 Cleveland

The Ravens haven’t shown enough offense to warrant a double digit spread. Cleveland should cover.

Pittsburgh 2 1/2 TAMPA BAY

Pittsburgh’s D is enough to win this one by at least 3.

Cincinnati 3 CAROLINA

The Bengals D has been solid and the Panthers are totally one dimensional. Give the points.

NEW ORLEANS 4 Atlanta

This should be a good one. Have to take the defending champs at home.

San Francisco 2 1/2 KANSAS CITY

The 49ers in an early must win game.

MINNESOTA 10 1/2 Detroit

Too many points to give up considering how the Vikings are playing. Take the points.

HOUSTON 3 Dallas

Another early desperation game. Two teams going in opposite directions at the moment. Houston to cover.

Washington 3 1/2 ST LOUIS

St Louis just isn’t very good yet. Maybe later in the year with Bradford, but not yet. The Skins should cover.

Philadelphia 3 JACKSONVILLE

The Jags are a much better team at home. The Eagles QB situation adds pressure there. Jags in this one.

Indianapolis 5 1/2 DENVER

The Broncos running game won’t hurt the Colts D enough. Indy by a TD.

San Diego 5 1/2 SEATTLE

Which Seahawks team shows up? For now, I’d like to see more from them. SD on the road.

ARIZONA 4 Oakland

Could be low scoring enough to let Oakland keep it closer than 4. Raiders on the road? Why not.

MIAMI 2 1/2 NY Jets

Tough call. Based on last week, have to like the Jets’ chances in this one.

Green Bay 3 CHICAGO

I’d like to take the Bears, but I can’t do that yet. GB has too many weapons.
