July 25, 2025 – New York – Primed to electrify clubs and set dancefloors ablaze this Summer, GRAMMY® Award-winning pop powerhouse Kim Petras unleashes a brand-new single entitled “Freak It” out now, listen HERE. “Freak It”is co-produced by Kim Petras, Nightfeelings, Margo XS, Frost Children and written by Kim Petras, Nick Weiss, Madison Love, Margo Wildman, Angel Prost and Lulu Prost.
Kim Petras adds, “‘Freak It’ was supposed to be the last track on the album and that was that. Then I started playing it live and the fans went insane. At some point, I just had to give in. I wrote and produced it with my friends, which made it even more fun to finally put out. I miss the chaos and joy of artists like LMFAO and Avicii, and honestly, I just want to lose my mind at clubs this summer listening to this song. The fans yelling at me to release it basically did me a favor. God was definitely in the studio that day.”
The fan excitement for the single has built into a fever pitch after Kim has teased the single on the road, with help from Frost Children jumping into surprise performances in Boston and San Francisco. Inspired by Euro club culture, the frenetic synths power up the soundscape as the bass thumps with no shortage of energy. The lyrics protest “Freak the whole arrondissement,” demanding you to “Freak It” from the “penthouse floor to the basement.”
It continues a scorching summer for the star by following up “Polo.” Upon release the hyperpop banger earned critical acclaim with plugs from Grammy.com and more. Billboard touted it on “Queer Jams of the Week,” going on to proclaim, “Everyone please welcome back Experimental Kim Petras!” and Rolling Stone touted it on “All The Songs You Need To Know This Week.”
This Summer, Kim took over PRIDE festivals across the country, performing new music for the first time and exciting fans from West Hollywood to Boston in addition to World Pride Music Festival this year. Continuing to make her mark in the fashion world, Kim mingled with biggest celebrity names in the world at the Balenciaga couture show, and DJ’ed the official Balenciaga after party with recent collaborator Margo XS. She also made an iconic appearance opening the Ottolinger show at Berlin Fashion Week.
