Global Tour Set For Fall 2025
Today American musician, composer, and academic John Maus shares a new song and music for “Came & Got,” the third single from his upcoming new album Later Than You Think. On “Came & Got,” Maus’ chorus – “people in dark across the world” – drives home the emotional core: personal loss, shared suffering and the perseverance that follows.The repeated verses capture the tension of waiting—the liminal space between what is lost and the moment resilience emerges.
Following singles “Because We Built It,” and “I Hate Antichrist,” Maus’ new single uncovers another layer of confession and confrontation from Later Than You Think, an album that transverses themes of grief, justice, rebirth, transformation, and spiritual warfare.
Recorded, written and produced in the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri, Later Than You Think spans 16 tracks. At its core, it reaffirms John Maus’ dedication to radical sincerity and emotional truth in an age of alienation.
Supporting Later Than You Think, Maus is currently on a global tour with upcoming sold‑out shows at Brooklyn’s Union Pool (July 31) and L.A.’s Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery (Aug 6). In September, he’ll begin a 59‑day North American and European run, headlining festivals like C2C in Turin, End of the Road in the UK, and MIRA in Barcelona. Full list of dates below.
