“Quebec King of Country” Matt Lang Captures the Spark of a Chance Encounter on Feel-Good Single “Outta the Bar”

June 27, 2025 – Today, Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Lang shares his new single “Outta the Bar” via River House Artists. Co-written by Lang alongside Danick Dupelle (Emerson Drive) and Jimmy Thow (Joe Nichols), the infectious song captures the spark of meeting a special someone under the neon lights of a bar and the endless possibilities that can follow.

Lang on the new song: “‘Outta the Bar’ is a really fun one about falling hard for someone in a bar and wanting to explore what that connection could become outside of those walls. It’s about that feeling of meeting someone special, and I think everyone can relate to that.”

“Outta the Bar” follows the tender “I’ve Learned,” an ode to soaking up life lessons that was released in May. With over 55 million global streams to date plus multiple Top 10 Canadian Country radio hits to his name, Lang has always wanted to bring the sound of Nashville to his Québec home. His self-titled 2018 EP marked his first English-language release, and at that time, he didn’t speak a word of English. Upon release, Matt Lang skyrocketed to #1 on the iTunes Country Chart for multiple weeks and the years that have followed proved his hard work is paying off. He’s shared bills with the likes of Luke Combs and Carly Pearce as well as racked up several accolades, including consecutive wins for Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year at the Québec Country Gala in 2023 and 2024.

Fresh off performing at Nashville’s CMA Fest, Lang is continuing the support of his latest album All Night Longer on a headlining Canadian tour across Québec, Alberta, Ontario and other provinces, with multiple sold-out dates. See below for a full list of dates or visit his website. With plenty of new music on the horizon, Lang is gearing up to bring his Québec-born, Nashville-polished sound to an even broader global audience.
