Los Angeles, CA (July 17th, 2025) – Hamilton aka the “AfroRockstar” and one of the leading voices of Colombia’s afrobeats movement, teams up with reggaeton legend Farruko on his new single “La Ruta”. Blending afrobeats, Caribbean rhythms, and urban sounds, the track is an emotional ride through memories that never fade. Hamilton and Farruko sing about longing for something real and pure with lyrics like “Esa carita donde quiera que vaya, Dios me la bendiga” (May God bless that little face wherever she goes), while capturing the tenderness and affection that remain even when a lover is no longer yours.
The video, filmed in Puerto Rico, tells the story of a couple who still remembers each other despite the passage of time. Set amongst cars and mechanic shops, it reflects a gritty and urban setting where feelings live on through glances and memories.
Hamilton has had a breakout year. Following the release of his debut EP Los Reyes del Mar, a tribute to his Afro-Caribbean roots, he has collaborated with major artists including Ryan Castro, Farruko, Lenny Tavárez, Justin Quiles, De La Ghetto and Nanpa Básico on the hit “Mi Reina” which topped charts in over 10 countries in the region.
