KENIA OS NOMINATED FOR HER FIRST LATIN GRAMMY AWARD FOR BEST LONG FORM MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘UNIVERSO K23’

ON THE HEELS OF CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SOPHOMORE ALBUM K23 WHICH HAS MULTIPLE CERTIFICATIONS

Mexico’s beloved Pop star, Kenia Os, receives her first Latin Grammy nomination for her wildly successful short film, Universo K23, under the category Best Long Form Music Video.

“I don’t think there are words to describe what I feel right now. It’s truly an achievement for me and my entire team to be here.  We have dedicated our lives to the project every day with so much love and faith. I feel immense gratitude for being able to end the year with such a prestigious nomination. I feel more motivated than ever. Thank you to everyone who believes in my music,” expresses Kenia Os.

The nomination comes on the heels of her critically acclaimed album, K23, which has multiple certifications, has received several awards and broke numerous records. The short film, Universo K23, which was released in conjunction with the album, had a theatrical debut that reached TOP 10 in theaters across Latin Americaand TOP 5 in Mexico in addition to winning awards at the Cannes World Film Festival and the Berlin Indie Film Festival. In addition, several videos that came from Universo K23 also won awards including “Toy Toy” which won three awards for Best Animation from the Music Video Awards, the LAMV Festival 2023 and the Prague Music Video Awards and “Mía Mía” which won Best Editor at the LAMV Festival 2023.

The 24th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) in Sevilla, Spain on Thursday, November 16th. The telecast, produced by TelevisaUnivision in collaboration with Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), will air via Univision.
