KENIA OS EXPLORES HER MUSICAL ROOTS WITH “MÁS TE VA A DOLER” 

Los Angeles, CA (June 1, 2023) – The track was born in Colombia while on vacation, Kenia Os reveals about “Más Te Va a Doler,” a song through which she reconnects with the Mexican music she grew up with. A month ago, through an IG Live, Kenia teased the song and millions of fans fell in love with it and kept asking her to release the song.

“I didn’t expect it,” said Kenia“When I shared it, it was just an idea. I was nervous because it was my first Mexican music record, but I saw that the Keninis liked it so much, so I wanted to give them a gift for everything that has been happening thanks to their support. I then invested time in the studio and worked on it with Saibú and Sofía Thompson.”

The song fuses Kenia’s signature pop style with the Mexican music she grew up with which made her deeply reconnect with her roots. As a result, she decided to film the official video in one take in her native city of Mazatlán, MX.

“Más Te Va a Doler” comes at a peak moment in Kenia’s career. Just a week ago, the singer performed at the Zócalo de Acapulco on Tamarindos beach, where unexpectedly more than 60,000 fans packed the venue to sing songs by the creator of the albums Cambios de Luna and K23, which positioned her as one of the most important artists in Mexico.

In addition, Universo K23, the film that captures Kenia’s experience with her most recent album has been a huge box office success. Just with its showings in Mexican theaters via Cinemex, the film was able to position itself in the TOP 10 within the Latin American market and climbed to the TOP 5 of the entire film industry in Mexico (this data was obtained via ComScore).
