Inspired by her first love and rom coms like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Summer I Turned Pretty, Lyn says of the video, “The ‘poster boy’ music video was by far my most favorite video I’ve put out. Everyone from the crew to the extras were all so lovely to work with, and it felt like one big hang between friends. One thing that was funny was the solo dancing scene with Hanbit (the ‘poster boy’) at the very end was the very first scene we had to do together, along with our (almost) kiss at the very end. Truly a one of a kind icebreaker for me. Thankfully Hanbit was super down to earth, which helped me with my attempt at acting in the video. I’m so proud of everyone who made the video possible, especially the director, Caro Knapp, who was especially lovely to work with.” “poster boy” follows Lyn’s recent collaboration with Canadian singer and songwriter Ruth B. on “do u really?”. Popdust declared, ““poster boy” is the perfect introduction to Lyn’s music..not to be missed,” while Sweety High says, “It’s clear she’s only getting better as she hones her craft.”

2022 was a major year for Lyn Lapid, as Billboard proclaimed, “Lyn Lapid is proving her mettle as an artist in her own right.” Last fall, she released her tracks “Saturn” and “Detached,” while quickly selling out her first US headline tour in just a few days, which included shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. In April 2022, Lyn dropped her long-awaited debut EP The Outsider, which was dedicated to all “the outsiders” like herself and features fan favorites like “In My Mind,” “I Guess That Was Goodbye,” and “The Outsider.” The EP received critical acclaim from BillboardUPROXXHypebae, and more, with Atwood Magazine naming her an “exceptional artist-to-watch.” Not to mention, in addition to her own headline shows, she toured across North America with Eric NamRicky Montgomery, and Claire Rosinkranz.
