How an English Time Lord & Sherlock Soul Saved Christmas, by Davin Michael Stedman

You might have heard that I started a band in Britain called Sherlock Soul that is dropping our first single on Christmas Eve. But have you seen the Sherlock Holmes robot John Loud made to celebrate the release?

John is a very talented sculptor, MC, and star of his Tales of a Time Lord radio drama series I will be promoting more next year. I might even con him into letting me make an appearance.

We are in age when some of the talented artists have the tools to make great art and share it, but it’s nearly impossible to rise above the feedback loop din of mediocre none sense and controversy, based on the daunting economics of division and distraction. With all of this f_ckery in the air it is hard for good art to breath above the second floor of general recognition.

Quality is almost a liability in the Age of Meme.

But this Christmas as I try to get in that Saturnalian spirit, having received this amazing gift, I wish upon a star like Jiminy Cricket.

I wish and I even pray that you might friend a gentleman like John Loud and support his art by having a listen to one of his radio plays and possibly hiring him to make you your very own robot companion.

Sherbot may end up in a music video one of these days. Sherlock Holmes is Doyle’s creation. Scott Rowe, Lewis Harding, and I devised Sherlock Soul. But from that pivot, John Loud made a leap of bespoken science and created Sherbot.

Isn’t that charming? Jeff Ferrell would likely interject that it was the American from Baltimore Edgar Allen Poe that invented the Detective genre.

But as I dream with our debut single, ‘I Don’t Want to Leave’, I dream a little dream that like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I can stand on firm shoulders and broadcast a beautiful idea that will light up imaginations, echoing for ages, around the world.

Meet Sherbot. He’s definitely on the spectrum of man and machine.

Sherbot is alive and well in Brighton, but he will be flying into SeaTac in 2018.

Listen to John Loyd’s Tales Of A Timelord series from the beginning:

Learn about how it was Poe that invented the Detective genre and archetype of Holmes & Watson. He started this detective sh_t and this all the TB coughing thanks he gets. Not even a Netflix TV series?

Second place wins the race.
