The Republican Waterloo, by Vino Knight-Trané

There’s no one like adult conservatives (such as there are) for eviscerating Republicans as they plumb the depths of imbecility. Today’s column in The Atlantic from David Frum, a former speechwriter for Dubya, is exemplary in this regard. His analysis of the Republicans’ failure on Obamacare is instructive in a couple of ways: on the actual existence of reasonable adults in Republican circles and the powerful forces that prevent them from exercising the slightest influence on their party.

It’s a good read. I can almost forgive Mr. Frum for his Axis-of-Evil speech.
