Montana TV Station’s Zombie Attack Emergency Hoax, By Tom Kipp and Jay Schuschke

Thought you’d get a kick outta this mild Montana media outrage, which befell station KRTV from Great Falls, one of the two local stations I grew up watching, whether from the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation (1968-71) or  Havre (1972-83).

My ol’ pal Jay is clearly enjoying the egg dripping down KRTV’s face!

 Very nicely done….

 Greetings:

Here is a scaled down version of a news piece filed by KRTV (Great

Falls/Helena):

Bogus emergency alert message transmitted.

Someone apparently hacked into the Emergency Alert System and announced on KRTV and the CW that there was an emergency in several Montana counties.

This message did not originate from KRTV, and there is no emergency.

Our engineers are investigating to determine what happened and if it affected other media outlets.

I think it is hilarious, but I am sure the perps are going to pay dearly for this.  But at least our pop culture fascination with the undead has paid off with this gem.

Hope you enjoy.
