Teatro Zinzanni goes “Hendrix”! (avec “talk-box stylings”)‏ By Tom Kipp

I must admit, this is my current idea of “The horror….the HORROR!” (per J. Conrad, via F.F. Coppola)

ThaddeusRETURN TO PARADISE

See Jimi Hendrix come to life in Return to Paradise, Teatro ZinZanni’s tribute to the swinging sixties. Adding to the local musical flavor of the show’s story and cast is Seattle’s own, nationally recognized, and critically acclaimed Thaddillac (aka Thaddeus Turner) as Hendrix. Often compared to the diverse guitar stylings of Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and Peter Frampton, Thaddeus Turner’s trademark guitar playing combines the beauty of traditional soul with the power of rock, mixed with his talk-box stylings. As lead guitarist for the Seattle heavy soul band Maktub, Turner has received glowing praise from Rolling Stone, NPR, and The Seattle Times.

EMP members receive $25 off general admission tickets for select dates between January 17-25.
