Some songs bludgeon you over the head with greatness. I remember the first time I heard Dylan’s “It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)” and Hendrix’s set at Monterey Pops. The first time I heard the extended version of “Whipping Post,” I thought it was one of the coolest band performances ever. Still is. This is a low-fi version. Do yourself a favor and look up the hi-fi version of “Live at the Fillmore.”
